Wear to go Girl Kara from Sprinkles in Springs

Hi everyone! I’m Kara from Sprinkles in Springs and I’m going to let you in on one of my new favorite restaurants in the area. If you ever find yourself in south Florida, come see me in Coral Springs- I’ll probably be eating at Fish City Grill. The restaurant is actually the next city over in Coconut Creek, but I live on the edge of town so it’s super close. It’s in a nice outdoor mall called The Promenade, which was just built a few years ago. You can shop, walk, have coffee, grab a bite to eat or sit down for a meal, get ice cream and a cupcake, or sit by the fountain. But you must stop by Fish City Grill!

American Apparel tee, A&F jeans, UO blazer & bag, Anthropologie headband, Candela flatsFirst, let’s start with what to wear when going out to lunch. I stayed comfy and casual in jeans and a tee, but brought a white blazer to stay chic if it got cold. Since my outfit is so laid-back, it’s best to go for something structured with the outerwear. I added my spiked bag and studded flats for flavor, and topped it off with a fun beaded headband. Now that we’re all dressed, it’s time to eat!

Fish tacos!! You have to try the fish tacos! I’ve never had them before and finally gave it a try here. Although it looks more like a burrito than a taco, it was still amazing. The menu says fried catfish is in the taco, but I substituted mine for blackened tilapia.

The tacos come with a thousand island/cocktail kind of dressing which makes them out of this world! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. In the middle of the artistically-arranged tacos is a yummy rice pilaf. My friend and I also ordered drinks (in the name of research). She got the ‘FCG Miami Wave’ (rum, coconut, orange and peach), while I got the aptly named ‘Coconut Creek’ (tequila, triple sec, pineapple, orange and grenadine). Yum!

There are so many more things I want to try next time I go back: Honey Chipotle Shrimp Tacos, PoBoys, Crab Bisque, Pecan Crusted Shrimp Salad, Key Lime Pie, and I have a friend who loves Fried Pickles. So remember, if you’re ever in the Coral Springs area, stop by and keep a lookout for me. And be sure to check out
Sprinkles in Springs!
